Bishop Kelley hires Frazier as next baseball coach

Bishop Kelley has their next head coach as a familiar face returns to the team. Parker Frazier was announced as the next head coach of the Comets this week, Frazier graduated from Bishop Kelley in 2007 and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies as a pitcher and played for 12 seasons with Philadelphia Phillies, Oakland Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Reds. Frazier started his coaching career as an assistant and pitching coach at Cascia Hall before going on to Holland Hall where he had a successful run and won a state championship in 2021. “We’re thrilled to have Parker on our team,” In his first three years as a head coach, Parker’s program accumulated 78 wins and three trips to the playoffs, including two appearances in the State Championship. Additionally, he’s helped mentor and obtain more than 200 scholarships for players over the last 14 years.” said Bishop Kelley Athletic Director Lance Parks in a statement released by the school. The Comets are coming off a great season which seen them come off back to back state tournament appearances.
